Why don’t we deload in a traditional manner?

There are two main reasons why we don’t have traditional deload weeks.

  1. We don’t need them typically as our wave system performed correctly prevents you from over reaching.

Ideally you want to train to a point where you don’t need a deload week. This can be achieved from consistent change in stimulation through exercise selection, reps, intensity etc etc.

  1.  The second reason would be it wastes too much time. If you took 3-5 deload weeks a year then that basically a month of very little training wasted. You can achieve the same goals from just rotating variations etc frequently.
