Should I do deficit conventional deadlifts even though my comp lift would be sumo?

Regardless of what competition variation you use, perform deficit conventional unless your coach specifies otherwise.

Deficit deadlifts have a big cross over to both sumo and conventional and help with leg drive and upper back strength in both variations.
